Learn to Make Your Own Homemade Chai Latte Marshmallows
Airy and fluffy marshmallows infused with the warming flavours of a chai tea latte. A fun and easy recipe for a unique and delicious twist to a classic marshmallow.
What you'll need:
- Egg whites
- Gelatine (either leaves or powder)
- Liquid glucose or corn syrup
- Corn starch
- Powder sugar
- Strong brewed chai tea
Start by softening the gelatine in water. This is done slightly differently depending on whether you use gelatine sheets or powder.
STEP BY STEP
In a mixing bowl, beat your egg whites until very foamy, then set aside.
Tip: this recipe is easiest to make with a stand mixer with a whisk attachment.
TIPS & TRICKS
Meanwhile, make a chai tea sugar syrup. The gelatine will be melted into the syrup and then the hot mixture whipped into the egg whites creating pillowy marshmallow.
Spread the sticky marshmallow mixture evenly in a lined square pan, well dusted with a powdered sugar and cornstarch mixture.
