An easy and moist pistachio cake with cardamom. This layered cardamom pistachio pound cake is frosted with pistachio buttercream and a touch of orange zest.

Ingredients for cardamom pistachio cake: - Butter - Sugar - Eggs - Vanilla - Pistachio paste - Mascarpone cream - Flour - Baking powder - Baking soda - Salt - Cardamom

The recipe follows a process similar to a pound cake.  Once the butter and sugar are creamed together, add the eggs, followed by the vanilla, pistachio paste and cream.

Sift the dry ingredients into the batter and stir with a spatula until a smooth thick cake batter.

Once baked, allow to cool before frosting. I recommend using a pistachio buttercream.
