    Easy Gingerbread House Template - Simple Basic House Design!

    An easy gingerbread house template for a quick and simple classic gingerbread house design.

    If you're looking for a quick and cozy Christmas-time activity, there's nothing better than a gingerbread house. I know that building these can sometimes feel daunting, since its a bit of construction in cookie form! Everyone has heard at least one horror story of a sunken or misshapen house. With this template, you should be set for making a classic easy gingerbread design.

    This is a no-frills template - no small cuts, tiny designs or difficult to put together joints. Just a simple straightforward house. This leaves you free to use your imagination and decorate however you please!

    The basic gingerbread house construction, walls and roof, held together by piped buttercream.

    How to use the template

    This template is designed to allow you print out the diagrams or recreate using the measurements shown.

    In order to make your basic gingerbread house, you will only need a three-piece template:

    1. Front/Back
    2. Sides
    3. Roof

    For each template piece, you will want to cut out two pieces of gingerbread.

    This provides a recipe for a good sturdy gingerbread that will bake well and give you a nice strong cookie for construction. Use buttercream and candies to decorate to your heart's content!
